Big Ideas for a Small Planet Viewing Party

Sun & Earth's Sundance Channel Celebration held at Earth Mart on Tuesday, September 29th from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. was a blast! Friends and family gathered at the eco-minded retail store in Phoenixville, PA to watch the world premiere. An energy star-rated, flat screen TV on loan from Best Buy, was the perfect way to view the Big Ideas for a Small Planet's episode entitled Companies featuring our socially and environmentally-responsible company.

We'd like to thank those (employees, family, friends, neighbors, Sunny Seven, supply partners, customers, etc.) who attended the function. And a special thanks to Earth Mart in Phoenixville, PA for providing such a great location (it's an awesome, eco-smart store) along with amazing support in organizing the event.

Sun & Earth Red Carpet Extravaganza

Sun & Earth will be featured on Sundance Channel's Big Ideas For a Small Planet airing at 8:00 p.m. EDT on September 22nd. To celebrate this exciting occasion, Sun & Earth is hosting a Factory Tour/Red Carpet Event that morning/afternoon (September 22nd). In addition to the interactive, educational, and fun facility visit, a delicious, nutritious lunch will be provided courtesy of Whole Foods Market in Devon, PA. The amazing picnic includes fresh fruit salad, tastey skyr, an assortment of beverages as well as fun activities/games for children (and yes, adults). Sun & Earth on Sundance Channel Award Winning Eco Series "Big Ideas For A Small Planet"

New York, NY – June 21, 2009 – Sundance Channel will premiere season three of the award-winning original eco-series “Big Ideas for a Small Planet” beginning August 4^th, 2009 at 8:00pm e/p. The 13-part series airs as part of THE GREEN, Sundance Channel’s weekly primetime destination devoted to environmental programming. The series is produced by Scout Productions.

Big Ideas for a Small Planet, the seminal documentary series on Sundance Channel and one of the first programs developed for THE GREEN, continues to be on the forefront of the discovery and discussion of green design, innovation, and process. Each week, a different green theme comes into focus through the work of three specific forward-thinking innovators -- from scientists to product and fashion designers; from entrepreneurs to first-time inventors -- inspiring audiences to incorporate green thinking and practices into all facets of their daily lives. It asks audiences to imagine a world in which we eat, build, and raise our children green, but this season it expands its scope to address communities, animals, and art, as well as sports, music, and greener ways to relax.

Episode 8: Companies. Historically, business has profited by taking from the earth. Can we imagine a world where earth profits from business? Ideas include green-powered paper, eco-food business and green cleaning.
